Job Interview QuestionsUse these questions to practice for the job interviewAre you prepared to answer these job interview questions? Being able to answer job interview questions is very important. You need to take time out to understand each question as well as the reason behind it being asked. When you are able to define the purpose of a each question, you will be better able to answer it correctly and in a manner that the employer finds acceptable. Employers ask a variety of job interview questions to gain insight into the kind of person you are, the work you are capable of doing and your attitude toward work. Being able to respond appropriately is key to getting a job offer. To answer each question appropriately and with confidence, you must be prepared. That means you have to write out or rehearse the questions prior to the interview. The more prepared you are, the better you will do. You do realize that other job candidates are doing this, right? Here, in no particular order, are some of the job interview questions you might encounter. The more you can answer with style and sincerity, the better prepared you will be for the interview. What are your long range and short range goals and objectives? 6. What specific goals other than those related to your occupation, have you established for yourself for the next ten years? 7. How would a good friend describe you? 8. Describe the best job you've ever had. 9. Describe the best supervisor you've ever had. 10. What would your last boss say about your work performance? 11. Name two things that you would like to accomplish while working here. 12. What motivates you to go the extra mile on a project or job? 13. What makes you qualified for this position? 14. What are you looking for? 15. Would you accept part time or temporary work? 16. Are you willing to work overtime? 17. What would you like to know about our firm? 18. Tell me something about yourself? 19. What are your greatest strengths/weaknesses? 20. What is the funniest thing you have ever done? 21. Where do you want to be in 5 years? 22. Why do you want to work for us? 23. Where did you grow up? 24. What have you disliked in your past jobs? 25. What kinds of people do you enjoy working with? 26. What kinds of people frustrate you? 27. How long before you can make a contribution? 28. In the past year, what have you been dissatisfied about in your performance? 29. In what ways do you think you can make a contribution to our company? 90. Do you have any hobbies? What do you do in your spare time? 91. Have you ever been fired or forced to resign? 92. How do you work in groups, and what experience have you had working in groups? 93. Why do you want to move to this area? 94. What are some aspects of your present position that you like? 95. What are some aspects of your present position that you dislike? 96. Are you easy to get along with? 97. What do you see as the future of the Internet as a business tool? 98. What would you say you learned from your college/graduate school experiences that you see being carried over to your life today? 99. What do you believe is the most difficult part of being a supervisor of people? Hopefully, these job interview questions will help you in your quest for a great job.
